Contains information pertaining to the following military units and organizations: 6th U.S. Infantry Regiment, 30th and 13th U.S. Infantry Regiments, 13th, 21st, 15th U.S. Infantry Regiments, University of Wyoming. General description of the collection: The Beverly C. Daly papers center around Daly's service during the Philippine Insurrection, including a diary for 1899 and personal correspondence (1899-1903). Also included is a reminiscence by James Parker, captain and major of the 4th U.S. Cavalry Regiment and lieutenant-colonel of the 45th U.S. Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Daly's military life from 1903-1910 (including a tour in charge of Alcatraz prison) and years as professor of military science at University of Wyoming are given in biographies. A diary (1921) and a history of the Dept. of Military Science, University of Wyoming (1891-1936) are found. A talk by Colonel A.V.P. Anderson (Nov. 10, 1924) on "Employment of military forces in connection with internal disturbances" is included within the papers.
